Moleskine changes its directive with a new CEO
Moleskine, the leading Italian creator of creativity tools, announces last September 27, that Arrigo Berni will be appointed Chairman of the Company after being Managing Director since October 2006.
At the same meeting, the company will appoint a new Managing Director Lorenzo Viglione, current CEO of the company since October 2014.
The change, fully shared with D’Ieteren Group, the parent company of Moleskine, is a sign of continuity in strategy and organizational structure and responds to the goal of putting the company in the best conditions to continue its development path, ensuring the same continuity of the relationship with both Berne and Viglione.
Since 1997, Moleskine has been the leader in paper manufacturing and manufacture, designer products and luxury notebooks, magazines, sketchbooks, leather backpacks, wallets and various accessories and stationery.
Founded in 1997 by Maria Sebregondi, the company has always focused on simplicity: the comfortable black notebook with rounded corners and elastic closure, travel companion, adventures and fantasy, so loved by celebrities such as Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin have quickly turned into a timeless and indispensable icon for collecting stories, sketches, drawings, thoughts and dreams.

Since 1 January 2007, Moleskine is also the name of the company’s registered trademark worldwide.
