Eataly, the international chain of Italian gastronomic products, opened a store in Stockholm located in Biblioteksgatan last February 17, the former headquarters of the historic Röda Kvarn cinema, the heart of the city center. The store has more than 3000 m² distributed over two floors, and represents something neww for the Nordic country.

However, the Italian chain continues its international expansion. Its objective is now Paris, as the company has reached an agreement with the Galeries LaFayette to settle down a store in the elegant Marais district, giving continuity to the existing headquarters in the Lafayette Foundation, whose inauguration took place last March 10.

“Paris is a strategic place for us, it is a very international city populated by true experts in gastronomy” according to Oscar Farinetti, founder of the Eataly chain. This store will be developed on an area of 4000 m², of which 2500 will be dedicated to sales, and plans to open its doors at the beginning of 2019, in the Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie neighborhood.

Its international expansion does not end here! The company is planning to open another store in London in 2020. The group, founded by Oscar Farinetti, has signed a lease of a space of about 3,900 m² on the first floor of the Broadgate.

The resort has 65 million visitors each year in part thanks to the opening of the Liverpool Street station of the new ElizabethLine. The formula will be an evolution of the successful method of Eataly, which combines the sale of italian delicatessen with catering and cultural events.

Today, Eataly has 37 stores in 12 countries with a turnover of around 400 million euros. In addition to Paris and London, the next steps for 2018 should be open stores in Beijing and Shanghai. In addition, by 2019, the group will cover 15 countries and will reach the Milan Stock Exchange.

Eataly uses the TC Group Solutions‘ retail intelligence technologies to optimize the profitability of its stores.
